A year-round patio enclosure is insulated and designed to be heated and cooled in every season. Our stacking 4-track windows are an excellent middle option for someone who wants more than a screen room, but doesn't have the budget for year-round insulation.
What is the difference between an enclosed patio and a sunroom?
A "patio enclosure” is a broad term for any structure that encloses an existing or newly built outdoor area. Enclosed Patios can include screen rooms and 4-track window programs.
A sunroom is a specific type of patio enclosure that typically includes large windows and better weather protection than screen rooms. Some sunrooms are designed for three-season use, while others are insulated for year-round comfort.
Can my existing deck or patio be enclosed?
In many cases, yes. Before enclosing an existing patio, the structure and foundation must be evaluated to determine whether they can safely support the new enclosure. The patio’s size, condition, roof, drainage, and local building requirements will all influence what type of enclosure is possible.
Can you enclose a covered front porch?
